Tiffany: The students will be working in groups, so I would probably just make sure ELL students are with at least one person who would be able to help them and translate. If not, I would make sure I have plenty of pictures in my instructions, so maybe they could understand that way.
Lorraine: I would probably eliminate the effects part of the physical changes, and maybe make the terminology a little easier to understand. It could be turned into a lesson just about describing the characteristics of different substances and objects.
